USE
Your Bumper Spot should be applied to a clean, dry metallic surface with the printed side facing you. In the event that your Bumper Spot does not stick when properly applied, you are trying to apply it to a non-metallic surface. Please revisit the proper application instructions in the first sentence of this paragraph. However, if you absolutely insist on applying your Bumper Spot to a non-metallic surface, purchase some superglue from a local merchant and go nuts! Yeah. We thought of everything.
WARNING: DO NOT USE SUPERGLUE TO APPLY YOUR BUMPER SPOT TO ANY SURFACE!
Please take the following precautions to ensure that your Bumper Spot experience is the best that it can possibly be:
- As with other magnets, do not place your Bumper Spot on or near sensitive electronic equipment or other things that may be damaged by a magnetic field.
- Do not leave your Bumper Spot on your car while going through a car wash because the excessive application of water may result in the removal of your Bumper Spot from the body of your car. Also, remember to add the instruction "Remove Bumper Spot from car" to whatever Emergency Preparedness Lists you happen to maintain.
CARE
Bumper Spots require almost no care whatsoever. However, there are a few things you might want to keep in mind: If applied to your car, your Bumper Spot will be exposed to any and all of the elements that the body of your car is also exposed to. Consequently, from time to time, your Bumper Spot may require the same cleaning that your car does, assuming that you wash your car from time to time. (Remember that car washes are your Bumper Spot's mortal enemy!) Simply wipe your Bumper Spot clean with a damp cloth to remove dirt. Use a mild detergent if you've been off-roading all weekend.
- Bumper Spots are screen printed on vinyl-coated magnetic material. The ink is not easily scratched off, so please don't try it because you'll end up damaging the vinyl coating, drastically decreasing the joy your Bumper Spot brings you. We tried it with our car keys, so you wouldn't have to try it with yours.
- The flexibility of the magnetic material allows your Bumper Spot to be applied to virtually any metallic surface with gradual curves. However, please do not crease or crinkle your Bumper Spot because the vinyl coating will stretch and scar.
- From time to time, you may want to clean the metallic surface of your car beneath your Bumper Spot to avoid mineral deposit build up that could possibly damage the body of your car. This is recommended.
- Please don't burn your Bumper Spot. That's just mean. We couldn't bring ourselves to try that particular product durability test because we love our Bumper Spots too much!
- Also, please refrain from detonating plastic explosives on or near your Bumper Spot.
Bumper Spot is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged Bumper Spots. Apply your Bumper Spots with care and enjoy!
